Cat Poems

Dinah and MollyCatterel

by David Harper

My pussycat sings his song to me.
He always sings at half past three.
He sings of tins of tuna fish,
And chicken pieces in a dish,
And when my pussycat's sung to me,
I go to get my pussycat's tea.

Chorus:
Always be kind to your pussycat,
Whatever he may do.
Your pussycat loves you and always will,
Your pussycat's faithful and true.

DinahI Like a Tabby Cat for Breakfast

by David Harper

(With apologies to Dinah!)

I like a tabby cat for breakfast,
I like a tabby cat for tea,
But what I'd like, I think,
Is a long cool tabby drink,
So please squeeze a juicy tabby cat for me.

I like a tabby cat for breakfast,
I like a tabby cat for tea,
But what I like the most
Is tabby cat on toast,
So please save a toasted tabby cat for me.

I like a tabby cat for breakfast,
I like a tabby cat for tea,
But I really like to munch
On a tabby cat for lunch,
So please save a crunchy tabby cat for me.

I like a tabby cat for breakfast,
I like a tabby cat for tea,
But the taste that is a winner
Is a tabby cat for dinner,
So please roast a tasty tabby cat for me.

TiggerTabby Cats

by David Harper

(With apologies to Tigger!)

Tabbies are furry,
Tabbies are fun.
I'll have my tabby
On a sesame-seed bun.
