Mrs. Hagadone dies at age 97

Services for Mrs. Annie D. Hagadone were held Saturday afternoon in the First Christian Church at Lexington with Philip J. Olsen, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Hagadone was one of the county's oldest residents at 97, and she also was one of the longest residents here, living in Dawson County for 90 years. Her home was in Lexington until she was taken to the care home in Cozad where she died Wednesday. Annie D. Garrison was born March 12, 1871 at Marysville, Mo., the daughter of Benjamin F. and Lydia Garrison. She came with her parents to Nebraska in 1880 and they resided 11 miles northeast of Plum Creek, now Lexington. In 1888 she was married to Cyrus B. Hagadone. Four children were born to them. She was a member of the Lexington Christian Church. Mrs. Hagadone is survived by one son, Walter J. Hagadone of Cozad, five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Franklin and Roy, and daughter, Dolphine.
